(ATLANTA, GA – March 23, 2026) – IDI Logistics, a leading developer and operator of logistics real estate, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, March 18 to mark the official start of construction of a new 155,272-square-foot Class A warehouse facility located at 1551 S Washington Avenue in Piscataway, New Jersey.

The new development will feature modern design and functionality tailored to meet the needs of today’s logistics users. IDI Logistics is also pursuing LEEDÒ Silver certification, underscoring its commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible development.

Strategically located with immediate access to Interstate 287, the site offers outstanding connectivity for distribution operations. Additional location advantages include:

  • 30-year PILOT tax abatement available
  • Location within the largest industrial submarket in Central New Jersey
  • Approximately 9 miles from Exit 10 of the New Jersey Turnpike
  • 25 miles (approximately 35 minutes) from Port Newark-Elizabeth
  • Approximately 400 feet of highway frontage along I-287

“This groundbreaking represents an exciting milestone for our team and our continued investment in high-quality logistics facilities in Central New Jersey,” said Justin Burns, Market Officer for IDI Logistics. “Piscataway offers exceptional connectivity and access to key infrastructure, making this an ideal location for tenants seeking efficient regional and super-regional distribution. We’re proud to bring a best-in-class facility to one of the strongest industrial submarkets in the region.”

IDI Logistics originally acquired the property in 2022. The existing office building on-site was demolished in August 2025, clearing the way for the new state-of-the-art industrial facility. Construction is expected to be completed in October 2026.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by IDI Logistics Market Officer Justin Burns, Co-Head of Development Rob Fischer, and Director of Development Matt DiMarco.
